Students are offered 42 lessons and 2 recitals during the piano year February through January.
In the year term, 10 weeks are NOT billed : 5 weeks are holidays, other 5 weeks are reserved as
the flex weeks for the instructor to take off as needed. Please check the studio calendar.

Monthly Tuition Rate

30min $90/mo,   45min $115/mo,  60min $150/mo,
75min $185/mo,  90min $220/mo,  105min $255/mo
(The tuition rate is fixed regardless of when in the term a student begins)

Where will the tuition go?

Tuition covers NOT only the time spent with the student, but it reserves your weekly time slot in the instructor's schedule and studio membership.

Also, it covers the costs of...
  • Lesson planning and repertoire selection
  • Recital venues and preparations ( programs, refreshments, etc. )
  • Musical materials including originally arranged sheet music
  • Theory and game materials
  • Continuing education and professional development
  • Traveling and Self-employment taxes

Billing and Payment

Monthly Tuition is due by the 1st of each month with 1 week of grace period.
I accept cash, check or bank transfers.
A $25 late fee will be assessed on the payments received after the 9th of each month.

Regular attendance is expected and encouraged to gain maximum benefit from music instruction.
When students miss a scheduled lesson, they simply miss the benefit of that lesson. No makeups, credits or refunds are given. Tuition remains consistent regardless of the number of lessons attended.

Illness and Cancellations

Please cancel a lesson when the student is ill. If you’re too sick to go to school, you are too sick for piano lessons. I will send a video lesson with homework assignments for students to complete before the next scheduled lesson.

If the student needs to cancel a lesson for any reason other than illness, please contact me with as much advance notice as possible. I don't offer makeups, but upon request, I will send a video/written instruction of homework assignments for students to complete before the next scheduled lesson.

The materials such as Methodbooks, Songbooks are to be purchased by the parents/students.
Materials I have in my own library will be provided free of charge.

Discontinuation of Lessons

I reserve the right to dismiss a student based on lack of interest, too many missed lessons, or failure to make payments in a timely manner.
I do require 1 month’s paid notice if lessons are to be discontinued before the end of the enrollment period, and I would hope to continue lessons for that month so that we can wrap things up positively.
